This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured by Innovate Awarding External Quality Advisors (EQAs).
Aims and Objectives of the Qualification
The IAO Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners qualification is to guide and assess the development of knowledge and skills relating to individuals employed within a health screening environment. The qualification covers three specific screening pathways consisting of abdominal aortic aneurysm, diabetic retinopathy and newborn hearing. The qualification can therefore be tailored to the individual’s job role. The qualification allows the opportunity for knowledge and competence to be demonstrated in the learner’s particular role.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Learners must be at least 16 years of age to enrol on this qualification.
This qualification is suitable for those who work within the health and allied professionals workforce.
The Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners will allow learners to progress within their chosen career. Learners may progress to further learning in specialist health areas which reflect their area of interest or work.
