This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured by Innovate Awarding External Quality Advisors (EQAs).
Aims and Objectives of the Qualification
The main aim of the IAO Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy is to enable learners to gain the necessary practical skills and knowledge in order to provide beauty therapy services to the general public and to gain employment or advancement in the beauty industry. The qualification covers a number of treatment areas and technical skills and knowledge areas that are required to achieve this aim.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, it may benefit a learner to have a Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification, and/or experience of working in the industry.
This qualification is suitable for those who work, or who are looking to work within the beauty therapy sector. It provides Learners with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge.
Learners who achieve this qualification could use it to progress their careers. Learners could go on to gain roles as beauty therapists in spas, beauty salons or tanning salons, or gain more technical positions if already working in the industry.
