Aims and Objectives of the Qualification
The IAO Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Techniques is designed to equip learners with the skills, knowledge and expertise they need to work within the beauty industry.
This competence-based qualification focuses on practical training in beauty therapy and aims to provide learners with the specialist knowledge of beauty therapy techniques and duties within a salon. It covers a wide range of beauty therapy techniques and salon requirements including body massage, lash and brow treatments, reception duties and health and safety within a beauty salon.
This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and above. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however learners may find it useful if you have already completed a level 2 qualification in beauty therapy or have knowledge in this area.
Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into or within employment in roles such as Beauty Therapist, Aromatherapist or Nail Technician. Learners may also continue to study in this or related areas such as:
- IAO Level 4 Certificate in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light Treatment
