Aims and objectives of the qualification
This qualification is aimed at supporting learners prepare for work in the hospitality and leisure industries. It supports the development of knowledge and skills to enable learners to prepare for work and identify the skills and behaviours required within a professional environment. It provides an insight into the principles and processes of working with customers, health and safety and preparing food and has been designed to support transition into employment for those seeking to work in a role within the service industries.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. This qualification is suitable for those who are looking to work in service industries such as hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism.
On completion of this course, Learners may progress to further learning or apprenticeships in sector specific areas, or into employment.
