This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured by Innovate Awarding External Quality Advisors (EQAs).
Aims and Objectives of the Qualification
This qualification aims to equip the individual with the underpinning knowledge and practical skills required to plan, deliver, manage and evaluate a safe, effective and progressive adapted physical activity programme for referred clients/patients with specific controlled conditions.
Learners must have achieved a pre-requisite qualification either in Fitness Instructing (gym based, exercise to music or aqua) at Level 2 that gives entry to REPs or Personal Training at Level 3. This qualification is suitable for those who work within the Fitness and Active Leisure sector. It provides Learners with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in developing and working with exercise referral patient programmes in a wide range of job roles.

- 600/4902/9 IAO Level 3 Award In Adapting Exercise for Older Adults
- 600/4903/0 IAO Level 3 Award In Adapting Exercise for Ante and Post Natal Participants
