This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured by Innovate Awarding External Quality Advisors (EQAs).
Aims and Objectives of the Qualification
The objective of this qualification if to prepare learners for employment in active leisure environments. This qualification is the bench mark for learners who wish to enter or who are already working in the sector. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge and skills across a broad spectrum of leisure operations roles from running a reception desk to cleaning, lifeguarding and engaging with customers in a leisure environment and gives them the opportunity to develop their understanding of the wider active leisure sector.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
This qualification is suitable for those who work within the active leisure sector. It provides learners with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and competence in a wide range of job roles within the active leisure sector.
Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into employment in the active leisure sector or progress to further learning and study. On completion, learners could progress to other qualifications in areas such as Leisure Management or more generic Management or Team Leading.
