Aims and Objectives of the Qualification
The Level 3 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning provides an introduction to working in the sport and active leisure industry. It covers the legal and working requirements of the sector and is designed to help Learners succeed in employment in the sport and active leisure industry. It has been developed to support the Active Leisure Learning Apprenticeship Framework at Level 3
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
It is suitable for those aged 16 and above who want to work, or who are already employed, in the sport and active leisure industry.
Learners may progress to employment in a number of roles within the sport and active leisure industry including health and fitness instructor, sports coach, playworker or leisure centre assistant.On completion of this qualification, Learners may progress to:
- Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing
- Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Activity Leadership
- Level NVQ Certificate in Active Leisure, Learning and Wellbeing Operational Services
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Instructing Exercise and Fitness
- Level 3 Award in Nutrition for Physical Activity
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Leisure Management
